The growth of the NH roads is significantly high when compared to the previous years. Every year during budget meeting, government allocates certain amount for the improvisation of the roads. People also prefer NH roads for travelling to the far distances. The quality of the road is important and it is good in the National highways. One of the largest road network is present in India. Across the world, India has the National highways network over a total of 5.5 million km and 64.5 percent of goods will be transported through this road link. By using these roads the goods will be reached quickly and safely. In India automobiles and movement of goods by roads has a rapid growth when compared to other field.

Understanding the importance of the NH roads, Government allocates budget every year to enhance the quality of the road and the creation of the new link roads through various cities. Around 90 percent of India’s total passenger uses these road network. One of the longest national highway in India is from Srinagar to Kanyakumari. National Highways is the economic backbone of the country and often enhance the development along their routes. So many new towns have been formed near major highways. Due to the residential preference by the people along the NH roads, restaurants and small inns have started to grow along roadsides. Advantages of using NHAI National Highways Authority of India roads :-

NHAI National highways authority of India
NHAI National highways authority of India

By using NH roads we have so many advantages and I have listed for the easy understanding:

    1. We can reach the destination very quickly
    2. The quality of the road is good. This makes us feel good while travelling.
    3. NH roads don’t have speed breakers often. Also, the road will be very smooth. So, Instead of going by bus, people prefer going by car with our family or friends and make our trip most fun and memorable.
    4. We need not go in search of the restaurant while we use the NH road because many number of small inns and restaurants are available nearby to the NH roads. We can relax there and enjoy our trip.

    Disadvantages of using NHAI :-

NHAI National highways authority of India
NHAI National highways authority of India

Nowadays people have more awareness regarding the NH roads and the incidents happen in the NH roads through social media or through any other mode of communication. Various types of vehicles such as large trucks, dump truck, bus, tractors, van etc. uses the same road and because of the heavy usage of the vehicles many incidents occur. I have listed few for your reference.

    1. Heavy traffic jam will be there. Because of more traffic, we could not able to reach our destination in the planned time. Also, our mindset will be changed and this will spoil our travel.
    2. Pollution formed is high due to the heavy haulage loader vehicle and lorry. This pollution is very harmful to our health.
    3. Frequently accident occurs in the NH roads which is actually unavoidable. Everyone wanted to go fast since the road is good and wide. Due to this so many accidents occur. Government is also taking steps to control the accidents but they could not succeed. Every year the ratio of the persons dying in the accident increases.
    4. Toll gate is present in all the National Highway roads. People is not happy with the tax collected by the government in the Toll gate and they say that this is one of the main disadvantages of using the NH roads. They also taken their views to the government by doing strikes demanding the government not to collect money in the Toll gate.

Corruption less tendering System NHAI :-

NHAI National highways authority of India

Everywhere and in all the departments in the government sector corruption occurs and we cannot streamline it. It’s only in the hands of each and every single citizen. They should think that we should not get money illegally or through any other means of wrong ways. Then only there is a stop to the corruption. We all think that corruption is happening only in the government sector. Everywhere in the world corruption occurs. We all looking forward for the corruption free India soon.

In road transportation, more corruption occurs since the project value is high. Also, more number of people is involved in the construction. Once tender is sanctioned by the government, the officers will work out on a plan regarding the construction. In order to get approval and get the work done quickly, we have to pay extra money to the higher officials. Minimal corruption les tendering happens in India. Because of corruption, the engineer uses low quality materials while constructing the roads. So, even during the low fall rain the road don’t withstand and sustain for the longer period.

Old cheater fraud vendor out NHAI :-

NHAI National highways authority of India
NHAI National highways authority of India

NHAI National highway authority of India look for the vendors to get their project completed. Civil industry is booming nowadays. Once the tender is sanctioned by the government then the next step is to look forward for the engineers and the vendor to whom the assignment will be given. In order to complete our project in a good shape, we have to carefully choose the vendor who is up to date with the technology and rule out the old vendors. We have seen so many news related to the damage in the bridges and the roads constructed very recently by the government. These all happens because of the inappropriate/ incapable persons working in the team.

NH16 Road Map lane NHAI :-

NHAI National highways authority of India
NHAI National highways authority of India

Usually 6 lane and 8 lane highways can be seen everywhere especially in the northern parts of India. In south side these 6 and 8 lanes are very rare. 16 lane will be very rare. It will be surprise to our eyes even if we can see one 16 lane road in India. NH16 Road Map lane highway system consists of 8 lane on each side. For NH16 Road Map lane system, the width of the road should be more so that more number of vehicles can be occupied in that road. In India, we could not see the place for that extended width.

NHAI National highways authority of India

In Haryana, government is planning to have NH16 Road Map lane road. If it comes, then Haryana will be treated as a first NH16 Road Map lane highway in India. Modi government allocated budget for constructing the 16 lane road in Haryana. If that project is completed then it will be treated as a widest road plan in the world and it will be noted in the world record. Advantage of having NH16 Road Map lane road is more number of vehicles can be occupied and we can reach the destination very quickly even though more number of vehicles occupy the road. But carefully we have to drive in this road because there may be chances of accident or skidding of vehicles because of congestion in the road.

Northeastern India NHAI Super development last 5 years :-

NHAI National highways authority of India

Once Modi had been stepped in to the government, he has implemented many policies and sanctioned so many tenders for the wellness of the people. He has allocated 7 crore rupees for the development of the highways in the past 5 years. He focuses mainly on the transportation. The work will be started soon to develop 83000 km NH roads and planning to finish by 2022. They are also planning to construct 9000 km corridor across the country. The road connectivity in the north eastern borders will be improved under this plan. Through all his plans, the north eastern region has attained a rapid growth when compared to the other states in India.

NHAI National highways authority of India

National highway road is specifically constructed for the people who choose to go for longer distances. They can reach one or two hours before rather going in a normal route. It will be much easier for the people who prefer to go by car. So, please be careful in whichever mode of transport you chose to travel. Not only in NH roads but also everywhere while driving we should be very careful and our full attention should be in the road. Wearing helmet is compulsory if we go by two-wheeler s or bike to avoid accidents. Teenagers please try to reduce performing bike racing in the public NH roads. It will not only save your life but also people who travel before and after you will be saved.

As a result, we neither know Hindi nor understand Urdu not can we speak English.

Why Transportation And Logistics cost Different in all Companies ?

There are many serious reasons for this, due to which the following side effects are often seen as a result of narrow mentality.

      1. The government has not fixed the fares for kilometres in the trucking industry.
      2. Transport union is weak
      3. There has not been the expected development of industrial or mandis everywhere.
      4. Due to capitalism, the dominance of very few people has been built on this business, whose arbitrary monopoly runs.
      5. These sadhus, babas, political leaders and foreigners use black money to promote capitalism and seize business. And also use violent routes for profit. These news are seen in News papers .
      6. Due to lack of unity, bureaucracy increased and the life of the drivers became miserable. Even after working 18 to 20 hours, the driver class is not able to meet their needs.
      7. Vehicle prices and resources are getting expensive every day, but fares have not increased since last decade and expenses have increased by more than 80%.
      8. Transporter pays 18% to 28% tax on every expense but does not get any taxi refund benefit .
      9. There is a problem of return load all the time. The return load from Tier 2 Tier 3 city has to wait 5 to 10 days. The load is not available from other places.
      10. Due to unsafe environment, economic crisis, corruption and misbehaviour of people all the time, the driver is in the grip of intoxication, due to which the accidents are increasing.
      11. Freight payment security and sly full deduction
      12. The government and government policies fail to do our business.

All of the above will affect your logistics and transportation cost.

Note :- Last decade ago the transportation cost was 5% of your product. At present it has increased from 8 to 30%
